Health care spending in the United States is a hot topic with policymakers, industry leaders, employers, and even consumers. The Unites States spends almost twice as much per capita on health care and has the poorest outcomes compared to other wealthy countries. The United States’ health care spend is expected to surpass one-fifth of the gross domestic product (GDP) by 2033. What can be done to address the unsustainable health care spend without compromising access, affordability, and quality of care?
